ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT)

This course is designed to prepare you for a rewarding career in the health and fitness field.

If you are an avid exerciser and enjoy empowering people through fitness, this course is the perfect kick-start to a future in personal training. Studies clearly show that globally there is a health crisis and we all have to address the issue by increasing activity, performing weight training exercises, increasing our aerobic capacity and flexibility and understanding proper nutrition.

ISSA Specialist in Sports Nutrition (SSN)

The science behind nutrition and its effects on performance, muscle growth, and fat loss help to speed up the process of changing body composition. Learning about the integrated approach to nutrition is what this certification is all about.

ISSA Specialist in Fitness Nutrition (SFN)

It’s the combination of both nutrition and exercise that gets results.  However, the limiting factor to getting those results often lies in poor nutrition. This course will teach you the art of “real world” nutritional coaching and how to prepare your clients for a lifestyle change. Learn to interact with different personalities, select the right assessments and questionnaires, and keep clients progressing from day one until they reach their goals.

ISSA Specialist in Sports Conditioning (SSC)

Whether professional or amateur, adult or child, all athletes need a professional to guide them in their training and help them excel at their chosen sport. Increasing speed, power and strength are training techniques that are learnt and then applied to the training programme to increase overall performance.

This course is designed to teach you how to take your athlete through the most difficult training regime, free from injury and staying strong.

This course is highly recommended for those who already have a CFT or Personal Training Certification, or are a graduate of the College of Sports and Fitness.

ISSA Fitness / Exercise Therapy (FT)

Combining health care and fitness technologies, this course is able to help the Professional Fitness Trainer to design Fitness Therapy Programs for clients who have finished Physical Therapy, but still have specific needs that need to be addressed.

This gives you the opportunity to expand your client base and work with those who require special care when training. Post-Rehab Orthopaedic Exercises, Therapeutic Flexibility, Stress Management, Avoiding Injury Recurrence and Sports Medicine are just some of the topics covered in the course.

Those wishing to attend this course must have a CFT or other Personal Training Certification.

ISSA Youth Fitness Trainer (YFT)

Help children and young adults develop a winning attitude that will make them not only better athletes, but better people. Specific training techniques for this specialized area ensures safety and steady growth, while at the same time helping to prevent obesity before it causes a lifetime of health problems.

Continuing Education Units (CEU’S)

All professionals with licenses to practice need constant updates, and fitness is no exception. GGA is the official Continuing Education (CEUs) centre for ISSA in Egypt. This allows all ISSA graduates to renew and keep their certifications current with live CEU workshops throughout the year. As an official testing centre for AFAA, we are also able to offer the Primary Certification for Group Fitness at any time, making professional certification an easy access for all those living in Egypt.

2010 saw the introduction of the Continuing Education Department within GGA. Most professionals require continuing education and fitness is no exception. As a professional, clients will turn to you for advice and you must be able to give them current information that is accurate. GGA helps make this possible for you through the following workshops.

Core Strength

International Master Instructor:

A strong core has been associated with a reduction in injuries, an increase in strength and power, and superior movement mechanics. Develop a “conscious awareness” of your midsection by strengthening your abdominals, lower back, and glutes using uni-lateral exercises, medicine balls, bosu balls, stability balls, and body weight exercises.

Program Description:

Anatomy Review-Rectus Abdominals, Internal / External Oblique, Transverses The Eight Principles of Core Training – Relaxation, Alignment, Breathing, Centering, Stamina, Flow, Coordination, Concentration

Cardiovascular Programme Design:

International Master Instructor:

Dividing our cardiovascular training into periods throughout the year, acknowledges the body’s need for balance and en-sures we stay away from burnout through overtraining or just pure boredom.  The consistency of moving closer to our fitness destination should be a journey of behavioral and exercise patterns.

Nutrition of the heart

International Master Instructor:

Nutrition of the Heart: As the leading cause of death, cardiovascular disease continues to “attack” with often no obvious symptoms. While modern technology continues to save thousands of lives, what can be done in terms of preventative action? Here is where we will focus on the relationship between coronary heart disease and high blood pressure.

What are the common injuries of this joint?

We will also elaborate how we can deal with this injury & rehabilitation program after diagnoses.
